Web Prosperity Autoresonder - 1 Campaign Only…Can’t Be For Real.

What Shenanigans Are Web Prosperity Up To?

Since the pre-launch of Web Prosperity I have been assessing whether this would be a good program to promote or not. One of the first criteria is that I would have to use the products myself (even if I was getting no commissions for it).

One of the things that I have liked about Web Prosperity from the outset was the fact that you could have all of your marketing tool needs meet under one roof so to speak.

Yesterday was the launch day and I spent quite a bit of time uploading videos and audio and so far I would have to say that I’m fairly impressed with that aspect of Web Prosperity. One thing that I found a bit limiting was the 30MB upload limit for your videos and audio.

If you are doing a screencast (recording your screen aka Camtasia) and you produce your files as a MP4 file then you can have about a 15 minute video. For most purposes that is adequate so I have no complaint there.

If you are recording from a webcam with high quality settings then you may shoot about a 5 minute video. I would personally like to see the upload capacity increased to at least 100MB but I guess we’ll see what happens there.

Today a gentleman left a comment on my blog about the change in the Web Prosperity Email service. When I read his comment I was in disbelief so I had to go over to the main Web Prosperity Website and see for myself.

Here Is What I Found Very Alarming:

The Web Prosperity Autoresponder Plan

Web Prosperity Shenanigans…

During the pre-launch phase the Web Prosperity “Internet Marketing Tool Suite” offered unlimited campaigns for the people that were on the $59.95 package, whether they were a customer or a member (member being people building a Web Prosperity business) and the people on the $29.95 plan had 3 campaigns + the default.

This has apparently been changed….

When I first saw this I though, “Nah must be an error” and so I quickly logged into my Web Prosperity back office to set up a couple of campaigns to prove it wrong. To my utter disbelief I only could set up one campaign!

Now I’ve been using an autoresponder for about 3 years and I can tell you I have more than 1 campaign, in fact, I have exactly 29 campaigns for various products and services that I promote. If you talk to any marketer they will have at least 10 and many will have more than 30.

What on earth are Web Prosperity thinking?

Seriously, Simon Grabowski owns one of the most popular autoresponder services on the ‘net, GetResponse. He would know better than most people on earth that marketers require more than one list. Here are some reasons you might need multiple campaigns;

  1. To segment your prospects (buyers from lookers)
  2. If you sell more than one product you will want a list so that you can speak directly to those people that want that particular product or service
  3. If you are doing a special promotion
  4. If you are conducting a teleconference or webinar
  5. A list for your team
  6. A list for your personal contacts ( so you can send them all a broadcast at once

This list could go on an on but I think you get the idea.

The $29.95 Web Prosperity Premium package offers;

  • Contact - 1 campaign + default
  • Address book - 200 people limit
  • Ca lander

What do you do when your Web Prosperity Address book is full?? Upgrade to $59.95 so you can add more contacts! I think this is rubbish, ridiculous, poor value!!

Let’s face it, you could use a Web Based Contact system such as Oprius which only cost $14.95 per month, has a 30 day free trial, and many more features than this skeleton Web Prosperity package.

Really if someone in the business world said to me; “Steve, I need a good contact management system, what do you suggest?” There is no way I could promote Web Prosperity over Oprius at this point (unless I was interested in getting commissions and not thinking about what is best for the customer).

To promote anything I must feel that it is the best service and offers the best value otherwise there is no way I can promote it. I could not recommend Web Prosperity based on the autoresponder as it is. I just can’t see this doing well unless they lift all limits on how many campaigns people can create.

Having said all of this, some of the other tools look very good, especially the Web Prosperity Media. I haven’t tried the Meeting (webinar like service) so it may work out ok but I sure hope they sort out their autoresponders.

What are your thoughts on the Web Prosperity Autoresponder service?

Very good review. I always go for the best, so I started out with the 59.95 plan ( there is also a 20 initial setup fee, so it comes to over $80 your first month). You’re right an autoresponder with just 1 campaign would be worthless…. BUT! …. You bring in 5 other elite members (you’d be earning 12 bucks on them per month if you’re a business builder/networker), your monthly costs are covered. Nice~!

My advice is … dont’ be cheap! You’d be spending a pretty penny if you paid for all of these marketing services individually per month, so what’s 60 bucks on a monthly fee?!

I disagree with you, $29.95 Web Prosperity Premium is not targeted for hard core internet marketers like yourself with 29 campaigns. You need the Elite membership and the value that you get for everything you cannot get elsewhere for $60/month.

    Hi Che,

I actually have the Elite Web Prosperity Package for $59.95 and the limit is one campaign. The $29.95 package just gives you just the default campaign and no ability to create another one.

The subscriber limit is 10, 000. Now I don’t have 10, 000 people on my list just yet but my associate and mentor has about 180, 000 so she definitely is a hard core marketer.

You could probably say if you have that many people on your list; “who cares, just get another autoresponder”….but it would be a pain to have to get a different service at that stage of your business. You wouldn’t want to have to migrate a list like that to another service so you would be forced to use 2 services which would be a pain in the neck.

I, as much as anyone want Web Prosperity to work out because I stand to make reasonable commissions from the launch alone, however…if the value is not there, it is not there for me.

My main angle with Web Prosperity was to use the tools and if I found them to be useful, market it to other businesses who would also use the tools. I feel that almost any business would need more than one campaign and so for that reason I could not recommend this part of the Web Prosperity service.

Also, I feel that out of all the tools that a business needs online, an autoresponder is the most crucial. Out of all the tools that Web Prosperity offers, especially as they partnered with Implix (GetResponse), I can’t understand why they wouldn’t have made this their strongest product to lead with.

    Just my thoughts…

    I appreciate your comments Che.

    Hi Roe,

    Thanks for your comments.

I signed at the $59.95 plan immediately because I was interested in the media function. For me to promote this as a viable business, the products need to stand up. At the $29.95 level what would people get?

    1. Autoresponder - No Campaigns with a default campaign only
    2. Address Book Limited to 200 contacts
    3. Calendar

    That’s it….

Now to me, Aweber for $19.95 would be far superior value as a stand alone product.

I stand to make well over the $60 as I had more than 150 people sign through my link and I’m also under a prominent marketer with a big list and so it’s not a matter of being cheap for me, it’s a matter of can I stand behind what I recommend as being the absolute best in the market.

For me the Web Prosperity autoresponder doesn’t cut it.

Believe me, I would like to say that it does as much as anybody!

Thanks for your input, much appreciated.

    Steve A.

To those marketers that don’t like the WP services this moment simply ask your refund. If there will be an additional features in the near future for sure to beat some other services out there you can simply subscribe again but you cannot reclaim your former position. You will be place in the bottom matrix Simply losing the money making opportunity what you have now.

  6. Che (cash2gold) Says:

again, not true the $59. package has at least 10 campaigns ..I agree the $29 package does not over much value for a hardcore marketer…but the Elite package is awesome and I know for a fact web prosperity is going to me adding even more features and upgrades after launch.

  7. admin Says:

    Hi Che,

This post was made 1 day after the launch of Web Prosperity and at that time this information was accurate as you will see on the screen capture. It was 2 days after I posted this they changed the number of campaigns for the Elite package to 10 campaigns.

I wrote about this immediate and mentioned that I felt heartened by their quick response but at the same time was still dumb founded as to why they would do such a thing and cut out such a large percentage of the market that we as Web Prosperity builders can marketer to. After all it is obviously not that hard to fix as they could switch it from 1 to 10 overnight. You can read my story title Web Prosperity Responds Quickly to Criticism here.

    So yes, now Web Prosperity offers 10 campaigns but there are a lot of other things that really dissatisfy me when it comes to their autoresponder. Here is a video out lining some of the other reasons why I feel that the Web Prosperity Contact system is very unattractive to most marketers;

The purpose of this blog is to give people different opinions so that they can make an informed decision if they are looking into Web Prosperity as a service or as a business opportunity. Thanks for your input.
