The Web Prosperity video function has impressed me with it’s ease of use. I think that anyone wanting to embed video onto their website or blog will love this Web Prosperity Application. At this stage it is still fairly simple but more than adequate to get the job done.

Adding video to your websites is very important these days because people are able to build relationships with their readers like never before. Many people like to use YouTube for hosting their videos (I also do) however, as a marketer there are a couple of downsides.

Perhaps the biggest downside of embedding YouTube Video on your website as opposed to your own hosted videos is the ‘traffic leakage’. . Too many people will watch your video and then see another video pop up immediately afterwards and then click away. If you are a marketer this is go to kill your conversions.

The other downside is the lack of credibility this can lead to in your prospects minds. In some cases a YouTube video will actually add credibility if a 3rd party is endorsing you or your products.

The Web Prosperity Video feature offers a very simple solution to this at a more than reasonable price. There was one problem that I found with the Web Prosperity Video player and that was the fact that it plays automatically when the page loads.

Many people don’t like this and it will make them hit the back button quicker than a flash and then their gone. In this instance it is actually worse than having an embedded YouTube Video on your site.

I remember Andy Jenkins saying at a Frank Kern seminar that they had tested autoplay verses non-autoplay videos and their opt-in page. The page where visitors had to click to play button out converted the autoplay video page by some ridiculous number.

The point is that it is best to give your visitors the option to press the play button, they will appreciate and stay longer.

Thankfully there is a very simple hack that you can do to turn your autoplay Web Prosperity Videos into none autoplay videos.
